The name says it all really... It was not my first choice to have dinner this evening, but in the end I am glad that I did. Typical American chain restaurant (although I did not know that before walking in) with Shania Twain blasting through the speakers. Customer service was excellent and the MOUNTAIN of food was good too. The waitress made a good suggestion of going for the steak medallions instead of the regular steak, as the medallions are bigger, cheaper, served with additional rice and they are basically just cut up steak (good tip!). The steak was perfect! For anyone with a big appetite, this is the place to go. But keep in mind: chain restaurant = kids, abnoxious eaters, etc.

Texas Roadhouse is the best steakhouse I've ever been too. The food is excellent and the prices are unbelievably reasonable. I left with a very satisfied tummy and only paid $35 for two meals and appitieziers. Will definitely be going back in the near future!

Read in yelp that is was very good so had to try it. Customer service was terrific, appitizers were almost a meal by them self- had the ribs- steaks were we cooked just right. Highly recommend - prices are lower then most if not all competitors listed- great value.

This was my first visit to Texas Roadhouse...we were seated immediately around 5:30 on a Saturday night...we were surprised that every table we passed on the way to our table was already full of customers - we thought we'd have a long wait for dinner...on our table was a bucket of peanuts & another bucket for the peanut shells, which I liked because then i know the floors are clean...we didn't get in our seats good until a basket of 4 sourdough rolls with honey-cinnamon butter appeared & a waitress to take our drink order...she brought water right away & said our drinks (Yuenling) would be out soon, and that's really the only thing we had to wait for the entire visit! The drinks arrived 'soon' as promised, we passed on the appetizer & went straight for the meat & potatoes...i had the less expensive sirloin, which at Logans is rife with fat &/or gristle, but at this place is as lean as T-bone, delicious & juicy...i had the sweet potato side they serve w/marshmallows & brown sugar..it tasted almost like dessert! Everything from the moment we walked in until the moment we left was just superb! If you're into meat & potatoes, don't pass up an opportunity to strap on a feedbag here at Texas Roadhouse...a modest meal around $15-20/person, beer incl.

Wait staff is real friendly. It's a chain. You'll get what you expect if you've ever eaten at a Texas Roadhouse before. Pretty good food. Not as good as Logan's Roadhouse or Longhorn generally.

Ordinarily I shy away from reviewing chain restaurants ... but this really was not good. I don't understand the 5 star reviews. Perhaps it's a lack of good restaurants in the area to compare them to? The atmosphere was about what you'd expect for a steak joint in the TN mountains, and the service was friendly and attentive. I have no problem with any of that. It's the food I have an issue with. I had the 12oz NY Strip, cooked medium-rare. It was barely warm when it got to me and had very little seasoning. It was stringy and difficult to cut since the knife I had was dull. I had a surprisingly bland Caesar salad (which was so cold I wondered if the lettuce had been frozen) and steak fries as a side. The fries were "loaded" with bacon and greasy cheese and came on a separate plate big enough for three people. I didn't eat very much and took the leftovers to feed the animals that haunt my parent's home in the wee hours. I didn't enjoy it but I'm sure they did (and i hate to waste food). I won't be back.

This place was amazing the food was the best I've ever had from any steakhouse! I got the sweet potato with marshmallows and Carmel it was yummy! And the prices were great for all you got I went there with a friend and we are to entrees with two sides each an appetizer and 2 drinks for under $40 for a steakhouse that's really affordable this place is awesome!

I moved to JC in April. I have been to almost every steakhouse in town. Texas Roadhouse has the best steak for the best price. Better than Outback, Longhorn, and Logan's.
